We have an immediate part-time opening in our immigration practice located in our Milwaukee office. We seek an experienced professional to work on employment and family-based immigration matters.

Full Job Description:

Clients range from multinational corporations to nonprofits and individuals.
The position requires excellent academic credentials at a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate* and at least 1 year of employment-based immigration experience. As part of our immigration team, the individual filling this position must be able to:
• Prepare legal documentation, such as immigration forms, correspondence, affidavits and related documents;
• Interact directly with firm clients, immigration beneficiaries and government agencies via mail, email and telephone to obtain legal information and documentation in connection with the preparation of legal documents;
• Manage multiple tasks and projects on an ongoing basis;
• Assist with the overall management of department workflow;
• Perform research into various immigration-related issues;
• Monitor developing immigration legislation;
• Consult with attorney and other immigration team members to improve and organize immigration case files; and
• Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the attorney.
* 3 years of experience as an immigration paralegal may be substituted for a Paralegal Certificate.

In addition, demonstrated familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and computer and internet skills are required.

You must possess exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines. In addition, you must be comfortable working independently and in a team atmosphere, and possess effective oral and written communication skills.
