Full Job Description:

• Draft legal documents
• Compile, analyze and summarize data
• Perform legal research
• Manage files to ensure information is organized according to standards
• Perform factual and technical investigation and analysis of case issues
• Assist in all phases of case preparation including discovery and trial
• Maintain generic files
• Prepare for and attend nationwide trials
• Attend in-house CLE's and actively participate in team meetings
• Account for daily time and detail of work on each case through an online time tracking system
• Apply Summation, Trial Director and Case Logistics tools to cases (receive free in-house training on these elite litigation support tools if you have not had experience to use them)
• Maintain experienced-level of expertise in relevant software programs
• Supervise and evaluate assigned Legal Secretary
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by leadership

JOB REQUIREMENTS
In addition to your commitment to being a case responsible Paralegal, you will need to fulfill the following requirements:

Skills and Computer Knowledge
• Advanced research and writing skills
• Superior client service skills
• Proven success in meeting Attorney expectations as part of the case team
• Proven organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using Summation, Trial Director, Case Logistics and CompuLaw tools preferred
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to travel via air to attend nationwide and local trials spanning one to several weeks
• Ability to lift 30 lbs (files and boxes)

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline required
• Paralegal certificate is a plus but is not required
• Hands-on experience using litigation support tools preferred OR evidence of the ability to readily learn and effectively apply litigation support tools to the position.
• Minimum of four (4) years previous litigation experienced preferred
• Proven experience in a courtroom

Working Conditions
• Heavy computer use
• Frequent interaction with attorneys, team members and clients
• Position is supported by a legal secretary who supports up to two other timekeepers
